When I started at the Neighborhood Market, one of the things I wanted to do was bring a bit of humor into the
workplace. I did this partly by my smile and jokes, but also partly due to my hats. Renee Row and I would look
across the internet for my next hat. It was a challenge to her. She wanted to find the next best thing for me
to wear and I loved it.
We would order hats and then see how they looked when they got here. Not every hat would make the cut, but she made some awesome choices. She would also try them on and send me pictures if she got them before I got home from work. Today's picture is one that I would wear for Easter earlier this year.
Any ideas that she had for hats I was "all ears" for... 😉 Besides, I also think she looked cute in them as well. When I got home later that night, I'd try it on for her and she'd make first sure that I would look good in it. After all, she was my sounding board. After that came to be, it was one of those things where we made sure that my store manager was okay with me wearing it as well.
This was actually one of those things that was very fun. For different holidays, I wore different things. I can still remember how much we both loved doing it and the impact that it made upon people at the store. She always made me proud in the selections that she helped us make for my hats. I haven't been quite in the mood yet to wear a hat, but I think my next one will be halloween. To honor her, I'm going to try to wear a hat she wore once to Wal-mart. I'll show you all pictures of both me and her (a saved picture from before) when it happens.
