Renee was one who encouraged me in many of my projects. When I felt down or discouraged, she offered a kind word, a helping hand, or a
sounding board. It was something that I appreciated greatly. Four years ago today, I shared a poem I had written for her. I thought it
would be appropriate way to honor her by sharing it with you all.
It starts with a whisper quiet
The piano lightly playing
Teasing your ear like fate
A guitarist starts strumming
The voice enters in
Drums begin tapping
Indulging your smile like a sin
Imprinting your mind like soot
Past the first verse
Realizing it was written passionately
She is his whole universe
You know this definately
From the start of the love story
to the filling in of a blank space
He writes of her in all her glory
And how he memorized her face
The chorus faithfully rings
Listeners nod at the hook
Knowing what true love brings
Reading through his life like a book
Chapters fly by each in their own time
Picturesque the lyrics sung
Describing how they were a perfect ryhme
As the cymbuls rung
Her song nears it's coda
Forever in their minds and hearts
Adding to the love anecdota
As the last chord departs
