July 30: Bobby Russ
Day 7: It doesn't seem like a full week has gone by. I can't believe it. The world continues to turn and I
know Renee would want us to keep enjoying the memories we do have and create new ones. It will be a struggle.
I saw the truck today and it was a hard sight.
Today's memory is one that starts as a first memory that I shared with Renee. As some of you know, Renee did not originally live in Florida. I invited her to come down and visit me after talking for a while online. It was truly one of our first dates face to face. I wouldn't actualize that it would be the start of a beautiful relationship.
I remember it fondly. Here was this woman who was full of life and a joy to interact with. She loved the beach and we got along very well. I remember taking her out to Olive Garden. I have always joked that you can tell if someone is compatible with you based partly on how they act at a resturant as well as how they order compared to you. She was a talker... like me. She loved italian food... like me. She had a respect for those who worked in the food industry... like me.
The pictures remind me of the warmth of the day not only in the Florida air, but from her heart. I truly treasure this memory and am glad that it was one of the first ones I have with her.
