January 18, 2021: Bobby Russ
As I sit here tonight listening to music, I think over my life. I think over all the years and the various phases of it. We are all on a journey that we have no idea which twists and turns it will take. If we had talked to 13 year old Bobby, he wouldn't believe the stories that have been accumalated.
We all have various memories and things don't always go as planned. This reminds me of a story of Renee. When she first moved down, she tried to often claim that she was still watching a movie even when she was snoring. She didn't even realize how bad it had gotten. It got to the point where I'd nudge her. She would be like "what?".
I'd look at her and tell her you were sleeping. She would deny it. I would look at her skeptically. Over the years, she had woken herself sometimes from snoring while on the couch. We learned a bit of balance. There were times I'd just let her continue to sleep as it relaxed her. Other times, I'd wake her because I knew she wasn't comfortable and would struggle to feel rested if she stayed there.
It's just one of those things that one remembers. So, now, the meme is a reminder of such a memory.
