July 29: Bobby Russ
It's been almost a month since she's been gone. It's hard to believe. At 12:15 pm, I will pause to cherish her. I ask all of her friends, family, and acquaintances to pause for a few seconds just to
honor her. She was an amazing woman and a great companion.
We always seemed to find a way to squeeze time out for us to spend together even if our schedules were crazy. Sometimes it was as little as 15 minutes, but sometimes either or both of us would take naps/sleep odd schedules to find the time. It's part of what couples do who want to find a solution.
Renee and I also had several TV series that we watched. Some were half hour shows and some full hour shows. About a week ago, I finished SG1. I remember her looking forward to watching shows with me. We'd talk about it and looked forward to it. I remember her looking up the guide on how to watch Stargate and Stargate Atlantis shows before the movies. She genuinely loved watching shows together. We'd talk about continuity. If we saw someone that we recognized, but couldn't think of, she'd research it.
I'm trying to get through Stargate Atlantis now partly in honor of her and partly to keep sounds goind in the house. I miss her voice. I listen to some of her videos just to hear it. Something as simple as "Brat Child" or "Fire Fire... It's a perfect night for a bonfire". I love hearing her voice. I am grateful for the videos I have found so far. I love you, baby...
