July 14, 2021: Bobby Russ shared a memory
One of the things I cherished about Renee Row is her enthusiasm for our movie dates. 2 years ago, she found us this small family theater. It was a build up to the day and she was so excited. We always loved finding those little things that were special. I remember getting to this small strip mall type place. The theater was nice and we made it into a double feature.
The first was the live action of Aladdin which I was not sure I would like, but she really wanted to see it. So, we went. I ferment watching her see the movie with that almost innocent child excitement watching a new Disney film. The movie was good and I could tell how much she enjoyed it. Although, I still maintain Robin Williams was the best Genie... although the new rendition was spun well for the actor.
Then after the first movie, we went to sonic. She was craving their shaved ice thing. So... there we went. Eating a burger, fries and the sonic treat. We laughed, talked about the movie and just enjoyed that moment in life.
Then time for the double feature. Another movie, another tale told. At the end, we would wind our way back home talking about the movies. It was a fun date that she planned. It'll be something I'll always cherish and a memory that I can look back on fondly. I remember her smile and how much she enjoying living in that moment.
